Apply to the EU Settlement Scheme

You and your family must apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living in the UK, if you are a citizen of:
  • the EU
  • Iceland
  • Liechtenstein
  • Norway
  • Switzerland

It is taking longer than usual to process applications because of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The scheme is free.  Apply now if you’re eligible.

You’ll need to apply again when you’re changing your pre-settled status for settled status.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2021 but you must be resident in the UK before 31 December 2020 to be eligible for the scheme so we would strongly advise you to apply as soon as possible.

You can apply using any device, for example, a laptop, Android device or iPhone.
