COVID-19: Changes to Electoral Services

The Electoral Services’ phone line and face to face assistance via Hove Town Hall’s Customer Service Centre will close from 5pm on Friday 20 March until further notice. The service will continue to respond promptly to emails sent to

Applications to register to vote can continue to be made online at and any documentary evidence required for registration can be sent by email.

Where possible please avoid posting paper correspondence as there may be a delay in any requests being actioned. However, the service will endeavour to process paper applications where possible.

The Electoral Registration Officer will continue to publish monthly updates and distribute these to credit reference agencies.

The signing of Pension Life Certificates will be unavailable from 5pm on Friday 20 March until further notice. The service is currently looking at how alternative provisions can be provided.

Register to vote

Please make sure you register to vote every time you move. You also need to make sure you plan ahead for voting in case you need a postal vote or proxy if you are on holiday, working away or have difficulty accessing the polling station.
