The EDB could provide money for a project that will improve the local community and quality of life of tenants
The EDB could provide money for a community project that result in one of the following:
- an improvement to a council housing owned building or community facility
- an improvement to council housing owned land or local environment
All projects must benefit the quality of life of council tenants and leaseholders
Criteria for projects
Your project must:
- involve as many of your neighbours as possible and be supported by them
- be able to be completed in the same financial year
- • not cost more than £10,000 for main bids and £1,000 for quick bids
- not be something that could be done as a repair or as part of a larger maintenance programme
If your project is for fencing, we’ll only fund communal fencing. We can’t fund fencing for individual properties.
Examples of successful bids
- community gardens and growing projects
- cycle storage
- patio areas
- new footpaths
- refurbished handrails
