Resident associations

Resident associations are community groups made up of local people who come together to address issues within their neighbourhood.

Resident associations can:

  • provide a voice for all residents to suggest changes or improvements
  • give advice to residents and represent them as a whole when dealing with authorities
  • influence decision making that affects their local area
