If you own a former council home, you can make an offer to sell it back to us
Home Purchase Policy
The Home Purchase Policy lets us buy back properties up to the value of £500,000 that were sold from the council through the Right to Buy scheme.
If you're a leaseholder or freeholder owner of one of these properties, you can make an offer to sell it back to us.
If the Right of First Refusal applies to your property, you need to contact us before you try to sell it on the open market.

How to make an offer
If you need to offer us first refusal on your property, send an offer notice by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you don't need to offer us first refusal on your property, you can still make an offer to sell it to us.
Email us at email@example.com and include:
- details of your property and your asking price
- your contact details
- a recent valuation of your property
How much we offer
We can buy back properties up to a value of £500,000.
Our valuer will value your property and we'll carry out a survey. We'll then decide whether to make an offer to buy the property back from you.
If you disagree with our offer and we have first refusal on your property, the final value will be decided by the District Valuer Services.
If you disagree with our offer and we don't have first refusal on your property, you'll need to sell it on the open market instead.
