About the role

King’s School is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise groups or whole classes, where a teacher is absent. Where there is not a requirement to cover lessons or cover duties, the post holder will provide administrative support to the wider school.

This is a busy and varied role, as the successful applicant will work across all departments of the school as required. The successful applicant will be working with another experienced Cover Supervisor and will join a welcoming and supportive staff team. If you are experienced in working with young people, managing a busy schedule and are a flexible team player we would like to hear from you.

Who are we?

King’s School is an ecumenical Christian School in the Diocese of Chichester, affiliated to the Church of England. The school opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2013 and there are currently approximately 500 students in years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 with a team of over 45 teachers and support staff. In August 2019 we will move onto our new permanent site in West Blatchington. We will be occupying a three-storey new build which will have fully equipped, state of the art, science laboratories and prep rooms.  Following this move, our PAN will increase to 150 per year group.

Our aim is to provide a high quality education in a caring Christian environment in which every student is known and cared for. We are committed to outstanding academic performance and to fostering a love of learning. Our work and relationships are based upon the four core Christian values of Love, Forgiveness, Respect and Responsibility and through these we encourage and support every student and member of staff to be the best that they can be.

Why join King’s School?

  • Enthusiastic, committed and supportive staff team and SLT
  • Range of opportunities for professional development
  • Exciting move to a permanent site for September 2019
  • Excellent support through our sponsor- the Russell Education Trust
  • Close proximity to the vibrant city of Brighton
