About the role
Do you have an AAT level 2 qualification (or book keeping equivalent), enjoy working with numbers and spreadsheets and are looking for an opportunity to study as Assistant Accountant Level 3 apprentice?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, hardworking and reliable individual to join our Finance Team as a level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprentice.
You will learn the role of a Finance officer in the Health, Adults, Families Children & Learning team, providing accountancy support to these pressured and high profile social care directorates. The team is in the Financial Services section within Finance & Resources Directorate, which is part of the ORBIS partnership with East Sussex and Surrey County Councils.
This role offers a variety of responsibilities and is a good insight in to finance support services whilst offering the opportunity to undertake a well-recognised level 3 AAT apprenticeship.
The Assistant Accountant at level 3 is run by Greater Brighton Metropolitan college who is responsible for supporting you with your learning and carrying out assessments. The course has core modules to complete and a number of optional units. Your work experience will be linked to the modules and units in your course. You will receive additional support from a nominated mentor, throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
