Grade: Scale 3 pro rata - Actual salary £13,615

Hours per week: 31.25, (8.45am - 3.30pm), term time only

Paid weeks per year: 44.6 inclusive of holiday entitlement

Start date: September 2019, fixed-term contract while pupil remains at school

Closing date: 6 September (9am)

About the role

The Bilingual Primary School is an innovative, happy, growing school looking for a talented individual with a passion for bilingual education and this role gives an opportunity to join our fantastic team.

We are looking for a caring, flexible person to support a Year 1 child with Downs Syndrome.  The role will be rewarding and you will support the educational needs of the pupil and follow their intimate care plan for which training will be provided.

For this role it is not essential to be a fluent Spanish speaker.

We are looking for someone who loves working with children and

  • Has experience of working with primary age children in a school setting
  • Works exceptionally well with other people and values team work 
  • Is able to work as directed and uses initiative when needed
  • Can adapt quickly to change and enjoys a challenge

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
