About the role

City Academy Whitehawk is proud to offer exciting and inclusive education to children aged 4 to 11 years. Our Early Years provision was rated as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in November 2018 and November 2019 we will be embarking on a new venture to extend this provision to younger children.

We will be opening a Nursery Class to form part of a fully integrated Foundation Village approach to educating children aged 2 to 4 years. Initially places will be offered to children who are 3 years old to provide them with skills which will enable smooth transitions into Reception.

We are seeking a talented Nursery Practitioner to join our staff team in delivering outstanding provision for the setting.

The Nursery Practitioner will work under the guidance of the Head of the Foundation Village and be responsible for the successful day to day operation of the Nursery Class.

We are looking for an experienced and talented practitioner who is committed to providing the very best opportunities for our children.  Successful candidates will be good team members with excellent communication skills and a clear vision for excellence.

The provisional opening date for the Nursery Class is Monday 4th November 2019.  The Nursery Practitioner role will start from Monday 18th October 2019.

Working hours will be 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only).

We would welcome visits to the school from interested candidates and these can be arranged by telephoning the school office on 01273 681377 from Wednesday 5th September.
