About the role

Covering everything from desktop to server work, networking to audio visual, to installation, maintenance, monitoring, software support and installation. This is a varied role that will ensure our customers benefit from an effective, efficient ICT support service. You will undertake onsite visits as well as using a variety of remote technologies when working from our two Service Desks located along the south coast.

A large element of this job is building professional relationships and delivering high quality customer service. Its all about liaising with customers, working closely with fellow team members and meeting SLAs. Naturally, you’ll need proven ICT skills both with hardware and software, but equally important is the ability to communicate well at all levels. Our customers are all different types of Public Sector organisations and charities, with the majority being within the Education sector.

This role involves frequent daily travel in rural and urban areas in the Orbis operating area (primarily visiting customers in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove but may require occasional travel to Surrey). Applicants must clearly demonstrate how they will meet the travel requirements of the post, which can involve travel into rural areas.
