Job introduction

The City Council’s Child Road Safety Training Team are looking for active and committed people to help children and parents to cross some of the City’s busier roads on their way to and from school. Officers work for 30 to 40 minutes both mornings and afternoons and out in all weather conditions.

Training, uniform and equipment will be provided to successful applicants.

Example rota: 8.35 - 9.05  14.50 - 15.20

We have vacancies at the following schools across the City:

Balfour Road, Balfour Primary School - 7 hours 30 mins

Millers Road/Highcroft Villas Brighton for Stanford Infant and Junior Schools - 8 hours 45mins per week

Port Hall Avenue Brighton for Stanford Infant and Junior Schools - 6 hours 40mins per week

The Green, Rottingdean for Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School - 5 hours per week

St Peter's Primary School  - 7 hours per week

Elm Grove Primary School - 5 hours 55 mins per week

County Oak Avenue, Carden Primary School - 5 hours 25 mins per week (8.30 – 9.00          14.50 -15.25)

Lustrells Vale, Saltdean Primary School - 6 hours 15 minutes per week (8.30 – 9.05          14.50 – 15.30)

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
