Brighton & Hove Council’s Commercial Law Team is recruiting 4 new roles!
We are looking for confident and highly motivated lawyers and trainees to join our Commercial Law Team. You will be joining a Lexcel accredited, dynamic and supportive legal team which is committed to career development. We welcome applicants from lawyers who want to work remotely, flexibly or part time.
The trainees will be required to work full time but there will be some opportunities for flexible work patterns and home working.
Fixed term for: 2 year training programme
Interview date: Week commencing 20 July (via Skype).
There will be a second round of interviews (likely to be on 24 July).

About the role
Trainee Solicitors
We are looking are looking for two trainees to join us for 2 year fixed term training contracts.
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Law, you will train primarily in the Contracts and Procurement Team and will undertake seats in Major Projects, Property Law and/ or Corporate Law. You will also have the opportunity to experience contentious legal work.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.
