About the role

City Academy Whitehawk is a vibrant and growing school with over 400 children currently on role.  As part of Aurora Academies Trust we provide new and exciting opportunities for our staff and children.  We are seeking an Administration Assistant to work in our busy school office and be part of our friendly and dedicated team - to start on 1st September 2020.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of customer service with excellent organisational and time management skills. As first point of contact for parents and visitors, we are looking for a good communicator with both adults and children alike. Confidentiality is a key requirement of the role and candidates will be expected to uphold the school’s responsibilities under GDPR.

Responsible for pupil administration, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a variety of general clerical and administration tasks to support the school.  This will include – completion of statutory returns, administration of pupil records and oversight of school meal payments.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is essential; knowledge of Arbor and Parentpay is desirable.  You will also be required to administer first aid to children and adults (training will be given if necessary).

City Academy Whitehawk is a dynamic environment so flexibility and willingness to undertake tasks at short notice is essential.  Working hours for the role are 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, term time only, with a requirement to work an additional 10 days over the year during school holidays.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.
