About the role

This post is an exciting opportunity to join a healthy lifestyles / public health team in Brighton and Hove. The team is committed to workplace wellbeing, and you will be developing and leading work to make workplaces healthier with some great partners in the city council and with a diverse group of citywide organisations.

You will be joining a healthy lifestyles team who work on a whole range of health and wellbeing issues from physical activity to healthy nutrition, smoking and alcohol to mental wellbeing and are always keen to develop innovative approaches. Your day to day work will range from strategic to a very practical delivery role, from training to supporting organisations with assessing their needs, to developing policies and service delivery to meet these needs.

If you enjoy partnership working, working with different organisations and are passionate about improving health and supporting healthy lifestyles in a great city think about applying for this job.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.

Company information

We welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage applicants from a BME or White Other background as well as those who identify as disabled, male or trans as these groups are currently under-represented in our Directorate workforce.
