The Governors wish to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have Experience of supporting and understanding students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and with other types of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as described in the SEND Code of Practice 2014.
About the role
•An understanding of SEMH, together with knowledge and experience of the interventions and strategies that can support students with SEMH needs.
•An ability to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills
•The ability to relate well, empathise and support students and young people who may demonstrate challenging behaviour
•Good communication skills and be adaptable, flexible and keen to support progress in learning
•The ability to work within a team and independently
•First Aid training or the willingness to train would be an advantage

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
