Apply to the EU Settlement Scheme from 30 March
EU citizens in Brighton & Hove will start to see and hear outdoor, radio and TV advertising promoting the EU Settlement Scheme this week ahead of the scheme’s full launch on Saturday 30 March.
The adverts encourage EU citizens and their family members to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme, and will point towards official sources of information on GOV.UK (the government's website).

To secure your rights, EU citizens and their family members will need to go through a simple digital application process.
The application process aims to be as quick and user-friendly as possible and existing government data will be used to reduce the amount of evidence EU citizens will need to provide.
The application process checks three basic principles:
- proof of identity
- proof of UK residence
- criminal convictions
In line with the draft Withdrawal Agreement, EU citizens and their family members will be able to apply until 30 June 2021 and their rights will remain unchanged until then.
