Free summer activities for our city’s children and young people
A varied programme of activities is on offer during the summer holidays for children and young people in Brighton & Hove.
The council, local charities, community groups and businesses have adapted their normal youth offer in light of government guidance on social distancing.
If you or your child are interested in arts and crafts, fitness, sport, beach days, playschemes, family get-togethers, fishing, music, or just having fun, please visit:
Youth workers will also be engaging with young people across the city in places where they gather. They will be looking to build positive relationships with the young people and provide support and guidance.
The chair of the council’s children, young people and skills committee, Councillor John Allcock, said: “Despite the Coronavirus restrictions we and our local partners have still managed to put together a really fun range of activities this summer.
“They will generally take place outdoors in open spaces. Online services will also be available.
“Inevitably there are fewer activities than last year. With that in mind we are prioritising children and young people from more disadvantaged backgrounds.
“Let’s also not forget that in Brighton & Hove we’re lucky to have the beach and our parks, where everyone can go and have fun for free.”
