New 'e-wellbeing' service launches for young people
A new online service is offering young people in Brighton & Hove support with their mental health and wellbeing.
The.e-wellbeing service is being delivered by YMCA Downslink Group, who works closely with Brighton & Hove City Council to help young people in the city.
The service has been designed to make it as simple as possible for young people to get the right help, in the right place, at the right time.
The launch – due to happen later this year – has been brought forward to give young people extra support through the difficulties they are facing because of Coronavirus.
The deputy chair of the council’s children, young people and skills committee, Councillor Kate Knight, said:
“The Coronavirus crisis is making a lot of our young people feel isolated, frightened and stressed and in need of support.
“We want our young people to know there is emotional health and wellbeing support available during these difficult times, and I welcome the fantastic services YMCA Downslink Group are providing."
