Standards Panel taking place on 21 September

Last year Councillor Daniel Yates made a complaint about another councillor’s conduct which was referred to the council’s Standards Panel for consideration.

Councillor Yates’ complaint alleges that Councillor Robert Nemeth posted on social media in a way that breached the Code of Conduct for elected members.

The matter was originally due to be determined at a Standards Panel in January 2020 but this was deferred at the time.

It will now be heard by a Standards Panel taking place at 5.30pm on Monday 21 September. The panel will be webcast and will be chaired by one of the council’s two Independent Persons.

The panel report for 21 September has been published on the council's website. The council’s procedures require a public statement to be published and issued when Standards Panel reports are published.
