Getting rid of large and electrical household items
About our pick up service and information on how to dispose of large and electrical household items, sometimes known as bulky waste.
COVID-19 update: Friday 15 May.
Bulky waste collections are restarting on Monday 18 May.
Our pick up service
To arrange a collection, call KSD Environmental Services on 01273 608 142 from 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
First, please check what we can collect and the prices below. Also remember to tell them you're a council customer.
Please don't leave items on the pavement or by communal bins, even if offering them for free. This is fly-tipping, which is a criminal offence.
What we can collect and costs
We need to be able to access your property safely and easily.
We charge a minimum of £10 per collection. For multiple items we can provide a free, no obligation quote on the phone or at a site visit.
We may offer discounted rates, if you're entitled to them.

Collecting your items
Please leave the items at the front of your property so that they’re easily accessible for the crew to collect.
If the items are not as described, we reserve the right not to collect them. We’ll provide you with an updated quote and you can decide whether to accept the new quote or not.
If the collection crew has to enter your property to collect your waste, the council and KSD Environmental Services are unable to accept any responsibility for damage caused during the collection.
Other ways to get rid of large or bulky items
If your item is in good condition, you could donate your unwanted items. Find out what can be taken to our recycling centres, or tips.
This service isn't for building waste created by a trader or building company. They should dispose of waste themselves or use a registered waste company, such as those who provide skips. Find out what we can't collect.
