All employers have to follow national child employment rules, which protect children's rights.

Employers need to apply for permission to employ a child if they want to employ a child of school age.
School age lasts until the last Friday in June of the school year in which the child becomes 16 years old.
A child who is between 13 and 16 years old can:
Children need to be at least 13 years old to work part-time, unless they work in TV, film, theatre or modelling.
Children can't work for more than 4 hours without a break.
