Proposals
The first 2 sections are likely to be of most interest.
The remaining 3 sections are required by law to feature in any consultation on admission arrangements. There are no proposed changes to these parts, but comments can still be made.
Published admission numbers and the proposal to reduce the Published Admission Number of 9 schools.
The oversubscription priorities for community secondary schools and the proposal to introduce a new priority for children eligible for free school meals.
The oversubscription priorities for community infant, junior and primary schools, Moulsecoomb Primary School and West Blatchington Primary School.
The ‘relevant area’ for consultation.
The co-ordinated admission schemes for 2025 to 2026.
Brighton & Hove City Council will be holding a series of public meetings. These will be a combination of in-person meetings held at various schools and webinars using Microsoft Teams.
The meetings and webinars will outline the reasons for the proposed changes and give the opportunity to ask questions.
When we get to the question-and-answer section please use the hands-up function to ask a question. You can also use the chat function (speech bubble) to ask questions while someone else is talking. Questions will be addressed when the speaker finishes.
