Consultation on a new strategy for special educational needs and disability for the city
A new strategy for special educational needs and disability (SEND) for the city
A new SEND Strategy has been developed for the city and a draft is being consulted on until the end of July. The draft SEND Strategy which has been co-produced and developed to enhance the outcomes and life chances of children and young people with SEND and adults with Learning Disabilities.
The strategy sets out our co-produced six key priorities and refers to the partnership between the LA, CCG, families, schools and settings, other agencies and services in Health and Social Care, including Adult Services and the voluntary and community sector
We worked with families as well as children, young people and young adults in three areas with a wide range of abilities and additional needs using graphic facilitation to collect their views to inform the draft strategy. However it is crucial that we hear as many voices from the community as possible so we can reflect the views and the values of the city.
Read the Brighton & Hove Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy 2020-2025 on the consultation portal.
We encourage all to take a few moments to read the strategy and share your comments.
